PATTI'S AMISH FRIENDSHIP BREAD
To 1 cup Starter, add: 1 cup oil.........4 eggs 1 cup sugar.......2 tsp. vanilla 1 large instant pudding mix 2 cups flour......1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cinnamon...1 cup raisins 1 cup chopped nuts To the remaining batter, add oil, eggs, sugar, vanilla & pudding mix. Blend well. Add the combined dry ingredients, nuts & raisins, mix well & put into 2 well greased 9x5 loaf pans that have been greased & sprinkled with cinnamon & sugar. Bake 6070 minutes at 325 degrees F. For a really GREAT taste, use chocolate pudding & chocolate chips in place of the raisins. NOTE: Cut the fat by using Egg Beaters in place of the eggs & applesauce for all or part of the oil.

Substitute applesauce for all or part of the oil. To cut fat even more, substitute Egg Beaters for eggs. Mix well & put into two 9x5 loaf pans that have been greased & sugared. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes.
FRIENDSHIP CAKE 1 cup Friendship starter......2/3 cup vegetable oil 2 large eggs..................2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 cups sifted flour...........1 cup sugar 2 tsp. baking soda............2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt.................1/2 cup chopped nuts 1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained 1/2 cup raisins (optional) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease & flour a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. In a large bowl, mix starter, oil, eggs, vanilla, flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon & salt until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in pineapple, nuts & optional raisins. Pour into pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack.
